Kansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes seems to be battling through a bit of an injury issue with his left foot.
Mahomes left the field grimacing following the Chiefs’ second touchdown and hustled over to the trainer’s table. They took the shoe off of his left foot and looked at his big toe. They didn’t spend much time looking at it and he was back up and walking around on the sidelines shortly after.
He went back into the game and the first few plays seemingly had no problems. As the drive went on, it was easy to tell that Mahomes wasn’t 100% and was laboring through some sort of issue.

Prior to the injury, Mahomes had only thrown a single incomplete pass, but he’s since thrown a few balls low and in the dirt, possibly due to his foot injury. He’s hobbled a bit after a few throws and seems to be having some issues when he goes to plant and make those throws.
We’ll see if this develops into anything more serious or affects the gameplan at all. He continues to walk around on the sideline and try to get loose while the defense is on the field.
