Chiefs players got HC Andy Reid the perfect gift for Christmas

#Chiefs HC Andy Reid had a special Christmas gift from his players waiting for him in the locker room after the Week 16 win over the #Seahawks.

Kansas City Chiefs HC Andy Reid got a special Christmas gift from the team following their Week 16 win over the Seattle Seahawks.

During their postgame locker room celebration, Patrick Mahomes tells Reid that he took a poll and got him a Christmas gift. Travis Kelce delivers the wrapped gift to Reid, but what could it possibly be?

The rest of the locker room starts chanting, “Open it, open it!”

Reid unwraps the paper to find a shoebox-like container. He even jokes as he begins to open it, “It’s alive!”

So what could it be? A pair of Airforce 1’s? Some product for his Mustache? None of the above. It was exactly what you’d expect it to be, Reid’s favorite food.

Reid, of course, has a reputation for being a big Cheeseburger lover. He brings them up often in his press conferences or when talking with players. He even had one as his postgame snack after the AFC title game win ahead of Super Bowl LIV.

For Big Red, this was about as perfect of a gift as he could ask for.

“Thank you,” Reid proclaimed. “May you all get a gift as great as this one. Cheeseburgers in paradise, baby!”
