Chiefs HC Andy Reid provides injury update following Friday practice

#Chiefs HC Andy Reid provided injury updates on WR Mecole Hardman and CB L’Jarius Sneed following Friday’s practice.

Kansas City Chiefs HC Andy Reid addressed media members with his usual post-practice injury update on Friday.

His first update came on WR Mecole Hardman, who remained absent from practice with an abdominal injury that popped up after Week 9 game against the Tennessee Titans.

“As far as the injuries go, the only guy that didn’t practice was (Mecole) Hardman today,” Reid said. “Abdomen is still bothering him, so we’ll just see how he does here over the next few days.”

Reid declined to formally rule out Hardman despite the fact that he missed all three practice sessions this week.

“You know, I don’t know that exactly,” Reid said of Hardman’s status. “But it will probably be a stretch for him to play, I’d tell you, without having listed his (status) yet.”

Official game status designations will come out with the injury report later with Hardman likely to receive either a “doubtful” or “out” designation. If Hardman doesn’t play, Reid thinks the team will be just fine without him. He explained that Kadarius Toney has more plays installed for this week and that Skyy Moore and others could also see an increase in snaps.

“We did add a couple more in for (Kadarius) Toney,” Reid said. “So we’ll see how that part goes. And then, we’ve got the other guys. Skyy (Moore) can jump in at the different spots. We should be OK there.”

As for CB L’Jarius Sneed, who was downgraded to a limited participant in practice on Thursday after practicing in full on Wednesday, Reid says he practiced on Friday and will be good to go for the game.

“Yeah, he practiced today,” Reid said. “He’s good.”

Sneed has been dealing with the knee injury since Week 7.
