‘Hollywood’ Brown’s preseason injury has delayed his debut with the Kansas City Chiefs. The team was able to pick up the victory without the veteran wide receiver, but he may be on the mend and ready for a return soon.

Chiefs head coach Andy Reid addressed the possibility of Brown returning to the lineup ahead of Sunday’s Week 2 game against the Cincinnati Bengals.

“So with Tyreek (Hill), listen, everybody’s different, but it’s the same type of injury. He’s getting close. I know he’s feeling better. We’ve just got to kind of see where it goes from here.” said Reid. “They’ve been doing these periodic tests on them and making sure that he’s headed in the right direction, and scans and all that, but it looks like it’s heading in the right direction. Now we just have to see where it goes from there.”

Brown suffered a sternoclavicular joint dislocation last month during the first preseason game against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Former Chiefs receiver Tyreek Hill’s timeline continues to be the comparison, but Reid wants to ensure Brown has had enough time to heal properly and passes this week’s tests with the training staff.
