Chiefs fans set off so many fireworks after Super Bowl win that it showed up on radar

Amazing.

Back in the Divisional round, Arrowhead Stadium ran out of fireworks when the Chiefs went on a 51-7 run in their comeback win over the Texans.

There wasn’t a fireworks shortage in Kansas City this time around. Not even close.

As the Kansas City Chiefs defeated the 49ers in Sunday’s Super Bowl 54, Chiefs fans across the Kansas City area took their celebration to the sky, setting off fireworks in massive numbers. These fans set off so many fireworks, though, that it was registering all over the city’s weather radar.

The National Weather Service shared a glimpse of that weather map from Kansas City (in both Kansas and Missouri!), and it was no joke.

OK, that’s pretty awesome. You can clearly see the spikes on the radar for fireworks.

As ProFootballTalk pointed out, let’s hope Chiefs fans had better luck with fire than this guy. (NSFW language)

That’s not showing up on any weather maps.
