Chiefs’ 2021 media production day is underway

Chiefs players will be taking photos for team media and promotional materials today.

Fans will likely get a sneak peek at some of the newest members of the Kansas City Chiefs franchise wearing their full uniforms, pads and all, today.

No, training camp didn’t come early this year. The Chiefs are still required per Phase 3 of the offseason program to conduct padless practices, but the Chiefs aren’t practicing today. It’s media production day for the 2021 NFL season in Kansas City.

What happens on media production day? This is when the Chiefs take all the production photos and videos used for NFL or their own promotional materials. They’ll get everything from headshots for roster photos, pregame player introduction videos, photos for team promo print materials and more.

The team has already shared a look at QB Patrick Mahomes and DB Tyrann Mathieu in full uniform. Check it out:

They have all the players striking different poses to get all the shots that they need, both still shots and video.

One of the best parts of media production day is that we get some previews of the newest members of the team wearing full Chiefs gear for the first time. Be sure to keep an eye on the Chiefs’ official social media channels, like Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and Twitter to catch some looks at your favorite veterans and newcomers in their gear throughout the day.
