The matchup between Oklahoma and LSU in the College Football Playoff is garnering a ton of attention.
Two extremely prideful fan bases will clash in Atlanta, and the ticket prices reflect that as the 2019 Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl is one of the hottest tickets since college football moved to the College Football Playoff format.
A ticket to the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl in Atlanta is the most in-demand bowl game of the 2019 season and is the third highest in the Playoff’s six year history, according to an email sent from tickets provider SeatGeek.
The get-in price was at $162 on Friday, but has since dropped to $108 as of Monday morning. According to SeatGeek, the average resale price of a ticket is at $381 a ticket.
The $381 average resale price is only lower to the 2017-18 Rose Bowl ($418) between Oklahoma and Georgia and the 2018-19 Cotton Bowl ($446) between Notre Dame and Clemson.
According to numbers from SeatGeek, the majority of people buying tickets are from Texas (18 percent). Texas is followed by the home of LSU in Louisiana (17 percent), then home of the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl in Georgia (17 percent). Eight percent of the tickets being bought on SeatGeek are people from Oklahoma and then five percent are from Florida.
Oklahoma and LSU will kickoff the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl from Atlanta at Mercedes Benz Stadium on Saturday at 3 p.m. CT.
