The Chicago Bears (3-5) will face the Pittsburgh Steelers (4-3) on Monday Night Football, where Chicago will be looking to break their three-game losing streak ahead of their bye week.
The Bears are coming off a disappointing 33-22 loss to the San Francisco 49ers, where it was the defense, not the offense, that was the weakest link. The defense allowed four second-half scoring drives to allow 30-plus points for the second straight game. Chicago’s offense looked the best they have all season with rookie quarterback Justin Fields, who flashed his star potential both with his arm and his legs in the loss.
Meanwhile, the Steelers are coming off their third straight win, a 15-10 victory over divisional rivals Cleveland. Rookie running back Najee Harris continues to impress, and he’ll get a chance to rack up even more yards against a Bears defense that’s given up 140-plus rushing yards in three straight games.
The Bears are early 5.5-point road underdogs against the Steelers, according to Tipico Sportsbook. Which isn’t really a shock considering Pittsburgh is riding a three-game winning streak while Chicago is on a three-game losing streak. The only shocking this is the Bears aren’t bigger underdogs.
If Chicago hopes to upset Pittsburgh, there’s going to have to contend with a ton of talent on their roster, from edge rusher T.J. Watt to safety Minkah Fitzpatrick to quarterback Ben Roethlisberger.
