The Chicago Cubs (33-26) and Chicago White Sox (35-24) wrap up their three-game series Sunday on the South Side at 3:10 p.m. ET. Below, we analyze the Cubs-White Sox MLB betting odds and lines, with picks and best bets.
Saturday: The Sox snapped a six-game losing skid and evened the weekend series with a 9-5 victory – beating my small Cubs money line play and my Under suggestion.
Season series: Cubs lead 3-2.
Playoff picture: The Cubs won the NL Central and will host a best-of-three, NL Wild Card Series.
The White Sox already clinched a playoff berth, but trail the Minnesota Twins (36-23) by a game in the AL Central. If they finish tied after Sunday’s regular-season finales, the Sox will win the title based on a better division record. They split their head-to-head regular-season series 5-5, which is the first tiebreaker.

Prediction
White Sox 10, Cubs 6
Money line (ML)
The WHITE SOX (-134) are the STRONGEST PLAY. The Cubs (+120) really have nothing to play for except Crosstown bragging rights as they’re locked into the NL playoffs’ No. 3 seed.
The White Sox do have something to play for as they need a win and a Twins loss to claim the AL Central crown.
New to sports betting? Every winning $1.34 bet on the White Sox ML will profit $1. Every $1 bet on the Cubs profits $1.20 if they prevail. Strongest plays should be 1.5 times your usual wager.
Run line/Against the spread (ATS)
AVOID. The Sox (-1.5, +145) own the best RL record in baseball at 37-22. However, with the possibility of the Twins beating the Reds quick or jumping out to a big lead – first pitch also at 3:10 p.m. ET – the Sox could throw in the towel and call off the dogs vs. the Cubs (+1.5, -175). I’ll PASS.
Over/Under (O/U)
The OVER 10 (-110) is worth a small play – which should be half your usual wager. I rode and lost the Under in the first 2 games of this series. Let’s try the OVER this time as things could get wacky with reserves playing a major role in the second half of this game.
