[autotag]Cheick Kongo[/autotag] is going to stick around with Bellator.
The heavyweight contender signed a new multi-fight deal with the promotion, MMA Junkie confirmed Monday.
Kongo (30-10-2 MMA, 12-2 BMMA) signed with Bellator in October 2015 and since has logged 15 fight with the company.

The 44-year-old Frenchman last competed in September, when he challenged two-division champion Ryan Bader for the heavyweight title in the main event of Bellator 226. The bout ended in a no-contest in the first round, as it was deemed that Kongo sustained an accidental eye poke from the champion. Bader denies of having poked Kongo’s eye and claims he instead poked Kongo’s nose.
No rematch was booked between the two, instead it was later announced that Bader would move down to defend his light heavyweight belt in his next fight.
With the no-contest meaning the fight officially didn’t happen, Kongo remains on an eight-fight winning streak with two knockout stoppages along the way. His last loss was a split decision against Muhammed Lawal in 2015.
Kongo does not yet have his next fight lined up.
