The Denver Broncos signed ex-New Orleans Saint wide receiver A.T. Perry to their practice squad on Wednesday as part of a flurry of personnel moves.
Who exactly is A.T. Perry? Perry is a second-year wideout from Wake Forest, who was drafted by the Saints in the sixth round (195th overall) of the 2023 NFL draft. This is a very interesting move, especially ahead of the Broncos’ Week 7 Thursday Night Football matchup against head coach Sean Payton’s former team.
In 2023, the 6-5 Perry played in 10 games for the Saints, starting three. He was targeted 18 times, catching 12 passes for 246 yards and four touchdowns. That comes out to an impressive 20.4 yards per catch, according to Pro Football Reference.
Before entering the league, Perry ran a 40-yard dash in 4.47 seconds at the NFL combine in 2023.
Perry adds more size, speed and youth to an already young wide receiver room that features Courtland Sutton, Josh Reynolds, Lil’Jordan Humphrey, Marvin Mims and rookies Troy Franklin and Devaughn Vele.
