Being selected in the NFL draft is the culmination of a lifetime of hard work for prospects. It is also the dream of a prospect’s family who has helped these young men every step of the way. When that name gets called, the outpouring of genuine emotion is impossible to hide.
This was the case for the 92-year old grandmother of new Pittsburgh Steelers edge rusher Alex Highsmith. When her grandson’s name was called she couldn’t hold back and just had to get up and dance.
