Chase Young has games against Joe Burrow and Lamar Jackson circled on 2020 schedule

Chase Young is most looking forward to games against the Ravens and Bengals, so he will get a chance to prove his dominance on defense.

With the complete 2020 NFL schedule now in front of us, everyone is getting a bit pumped up to get the offseason camps and training work over with so we can get into the season. Unfortunately, we’re still not sure when they’ll start.

For Chase Young, the Washington Redskins newest defensive superstar, there are a couple of games on the horizon that have him more excited than others, and with good reason.

When talking about the upcoming year on the Redskins virtual Schedule Release show, Young made his intentions clear for the coming season. He wants to prove to everyone that he was the best player in the 2020 draft class — better than Cincinnati Bengals QB Joe Burrow.

“The one I’m looking forward to is Cincinnati, for sure,” Young said on the Redskins 2020 Schedule Release show.

Burrow was drafted one spot ahead of Young, and the two spent some time together at Ohio State before the former transferred to LSU, winning a championship there.

Aside from the Bengals, it is the Battle of the Beltway that most interests Young, not only for the war over home turf but for the players he’ll have a chance to meet too.

“I’m most excited about going up against the MVP, Lamar Jackson,” Young said, via NBC Sports Washington. “I feel like the MVP, that’s the best. So, I’m definitely looking forward to going against the best. Give it the best shot I can give.”

We’ve known for a bit now that Young has an affinity for Jackson, and his desire to put him into the ground comes from his respect for the player. To be the best, you have to beat the best.

“He’s real fast, real shifty, hard to get down, elite,” Young said at the time. “In my opinion, he was the best player in the league this past season. It’s just something I want to do. At quarterback, I feel like he’s the one doing it right now in the league.”

While we may all have different games on the schedule circled, those are the two that have been highlighted on Young’s calendar. We can’t wait to see it unfold.
