Chase Elliott’s new NASCAR Cup Series spotter for 2024 revealed

Chase Elliott’s new spotter in the NASCAR Cup Series for the 2024 season has been revealed. Who is Elliott’s new spotter for 2024?

Eddie D’Hondt announced that he would leave [autotag]Chase Elliott[/autotag] and Hendrick Motorsports after the 2023 NASCAR season, which created an opening for one of the best drivers in the sport. Then, D’Hondt was announced as the new spotter for Josh Berry and Stewart-Haas Racing; however, what about Elliott and the No. 9 team?

Hendrick Motorsports confirmed on Tuesday that Trey Poole will be the full-time spotter for the driver of the No. 9 car in 2024. Poole is Elliott’s cousin and has served as a second spotter on road courses and replaced D’Hondt on an interim basis in 2021. This will be the first time Elliott has a new spotter in the NASCAR Cup Series.

This is not a surprising announcement as it was the expectation once D’Hondt left for Stewart-Haas Racing. Elliott will have a familiar voice in his ear throughout the 2024 NASCAR season as he looks to get back on track after a rough year. The Hendrick Motorsports driver needed a reset, and a new spotter is a good start for him.
