Chase Elliott takes the blame for incident with Kyle Larson at Kansas

Chase Elliott takes the blame for the incident with Kyle Larson at Kansas Speedway. Find out what Elliott had to say about the situation!

[autotag]Chase Elliott[/autotag] had a very solid run going at Kansas Speedway last weekend that ended in a sixth-place finish; however, it came with some drama as Elliott slammed [autotag]Kyle Larson[/autotag] after a pit road incident late in the race. Larson tried to avoid Brad Keselowski and needed to make contact with Elliott for it to happen. Then, the driver of the No. 9 car hit Larson on the right side.

Elliott didn’t have a true comment about the incident after the race but has now provided a longer one on Tuesday afternoon. The 2020 NASCAR Cup Series champion jumped on SiriusXM NASCAR Radio and took the blame for the situation after not having the full picture at the time.

“There’s a lot that goes on,” Elliott said. “We obviously ran into each other on pit road and I didn’t have the full picture of what went on, so I was frustrated. That stuff happens, for sure. But at the end of the day, I’ll certainly take the blame for my frustration on that front.”

“The good news is (Kyle Larson) and I can have a conversation like adults and it’s a non-issue. The bad news is, it’s a non-issue for all of y’all and everybody that wants to talk about it. There’s nothing to talk about.”

Elliott and Larson have had incidents in the past but this one seems to be settled as a misunderstanding at the time. It is good to see both drivers talk about the situation and there should be nothing to monitor moving forward.
