The Arizona Cardinals enter halftime down by a point to the San Francisco 49ers, trailing 7-6. They also have lost a pair of key offensive contributors.
In the second quarter of the game, running back Chase Edmonds, who entered the game questionable to play with both knee and ankle injuries, had to leave with another injury.
He was reported as questionable to return with a hip injury.
He had two catches for eight yards in the first half.
Hopkins left just before halftime. On a throw to the end zone that was broken up, Hopkins got injured. It appeared to be his abdomen, chest or getting the wind knocked out of him when he landed on the arm of 49ers cornerback Jason Verrett.
He went to the locker room. At the time of publishing, there was no announcement of the status of his return. He had three receptions for 20 yards in the first half.
Update:
It appears Hopkins will be fine.
DeAndre Hopkins back on the sideline with his teammates to open the second half. Seems fine.
