Michigan State football had a big week, defeating Prairie View A&M and improving to 3-0 on the season, the first in Jonathan Smith’s tenure in East Lansing.
In the win over the Panthers, Charles Brantley had a huge game for the Spartans, registering a 100-yard pick-six to go along with 2 tackles and a pass defend, earning defensive player of the game honors.
To round out the outstanding performance for Brantley, he was given a 92.1 rating by Pro Football Focus, a very good rating, earning him the honor of being the highest rated cornerback in the nation for week three.
