Charles Bediako named to SEC All-Defensive Team

Charles Bediako passes 100 career blocks and earns a spot on SEC All-Defensive Team

Standing at over seven-feet tall, Charles Bediako is one of the best rim protectors in the country. The lengthy sophomore had an outstanding defensive campaign for the Tide and was placed on the SEC All-Defensive team.

Bediako does a lot of the blue-collar work for the Alabama Crimson Tide team. He doesn’t have jump-off-the-paper stats, averaging 5.7 PPG and 5.6 RPG, but he does all of the little things that make the biggest difference. Through two seasons in Tuscaloosa, Bediako has 101 career blocks and may go down as the Tide’s all-time leader.
