If you’re going to be fair to Tom Brady, it would be important to point out that he’s an amateur golfer who was tasked with playing golf in the rain on a tough course alongside two of the best golfers on the planet … all in front of a national TV audience.
It should be expected for him to struggle mightily.
But he’s also Tom Brady, so very few golf fans had sympathy.
As Brady struggled during Sunday’s The Match, Charles Barkley — who was part of the broadcast — hoped to give Brady some encouragement by telling him he’d donate $50,000 to Brady’s charity if he could get his tee shot on the green. The offer wasn’t meant to make fun of the struggling Brady but rather give him more incentive to focus on the shot.
About that …
Hilarious exchange between Charles and Brady
Charles bet Brady $50,000 to keep it on the green.

Brady didn’t just fail to get his shot on the green — he didn’t come close. But the exchange after the shot made for some excellent television.
Brady said, “Chuck, you saved yourself $50,000.”
To which Barkley responded, “Woof. You know, Tom, I should’ve just said if you can just keep it on the planet.”
Poor Tom. Golf clearly isn’t his game.
