One of the Chargers’ key offensive cogs might be out for the rest of the game.
Wide receiver Keenan Allen is questionable to return with a hamstring injury. Allen pulled up early on a route midway through the second quarter but made his way to the sideline under his own power.
While it doesn’t appear to be an injury at first glance, hamstring issues commonly keep pass catchers out for somewhere between two and four weeks if they prove to be even minorly serious.
If Allen can’t go, second-year receiver Joshua Palmer and kick returner DeAndre Carter figure to have bigger roles for the remainder of the game.
Allen had four receptions for 66 yards before exiting.
Update: Allen has been ruled out for the remainder of the game.
