The Miami Dolphins have seen a handful of key players have their status for Week 10 against the Los Angeles Chargers thrown into question over the course of this past week. Miami was forced to place WR Preston Williams on injured reserve alongside starting running back Myles Gaskin after Week 9 against Arizona and has seen two defensive starters — Christian Wilkins and Kyle Van Noy — placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list on Thursday, leaving their ability against the Chargers in question.
But the Los Angeles Chargers are taking a big hit this weekend as well; as it was announced by the team yesterday that star pass rusher Joey Bosa will miss Sunday’s action against the Dolphins due to a concussion.
Chargers ruled out DE Joey Bosa and RB Justin Jackson for Sunday's game against Dolphins.

The Chargers, who are also missing their starting running back (Austin Ekeler), will absorb another backfield loss with the announcement that Justin Jackson is out for this game as well. But the heavy hitting news here is that Bosa will be out; he’s a former top-3 pick in the NFL Draft and averages 10 sacks per season as he hits the halfway mark of his 5th NFL season. Bosa is an absolute star and his absence will be a significant void for Los Angeles against Miami as they look to make rookie quarterback Tua Tagovailoa uncomfortable in Week 10. The Chargers’ rush will still boast Melvin Ingram, another former 1st-round pick pass rusher, but the two-headed duo of Ingram and Bosa served as a big variable that could have swung this game in the Chargers’ favor.
That won’t materialize for the 2-6 Chargers and the Dolphins will look to take advantage as they lean onto their young quarterback in a clash between rookie signal callers this week. Miami’s COVID-19 hurdles this week are an unlucky break, but the ball has certainly bounced Miami’s way with the follow up news that Joey Bosa won’t be dressing in Week 10.
