Chad ‘Ochocinco’ Johnson made a splash to start the new year by shooting off a tweet detailing how he’d like to work with the Washington Redskins under Ron Rivera.
And who could blame him? The Redskins boast one of the NFL’s most exciting rising stars in wideout Terry McLaurin, not to mention other budding stars like Steven Sims and Kelvin Harmon.
Despite the theatrics, over the years Johnson has carved out one heck of a post-NFL career for himself and it would be easy to see him eventually shifting into a coaching role somewhere.
McLaurin is actually one of the topics of Johnson’s latest note on the matter:
Yo @TheTerry_25 see how they blocking us from working together talking about stuff i did a decade ago as an active player. Smh https://t.co/rSg0yNVKyO

If the NFL thinks Johnson would make a great coach, most of the other noise wouldn’t matter.
For now, the Redskins have reportedly found a new wideout coach.
