For those unfamiliar with Allen, the Eagles are one of the top powers in football-mad Texas, winning three straight state titles from 2012-14 while also being named national champs during that time by High School Football America. They also won the state title in the largest classification in 2017.
Allen’s football stadium, which was built prior to the 2012 season at a cost of $60 million, seats 18,000 fans.
Morris is familiar with the pressures of being a head coach at a power high school in Texas, heading the programs at both Stephenville (2003-07) and Lake Travis (2008-09).
