Chad Johnson says he’ll pay fines for Joe Mixon, Bengals after coin flips

Chad isn’t going to let Bengals players get fined for what he says was the best celebration of the year.

Cincinnati Bengals running back Joe Mixon undoubtedly has a fine letter coming his way this week after his coin-flip celebration mocked the NFL.

But Chad Johnson has his back.

Mixon, like many fans in the crowd, was taking a shot at the NFL for their last-second rule creation that implemented a coin flip to decide home-field advantage if the Bengals had lost to the Ravens on Sunday.

Asked about the creative touchdown celebration in which Mixon pulled a coin from his glove and flipped it while trolling the NFL, the star running back said Chad would be there to help out.

The Athletic’s Paul Dehner Jr. captured the moment with Mixon:

Mixon says he actually saw the celebration idea from Chad on Twitter, too.

Rest assured Chad was quick to back that up on Twitter:

It’s especially cool from the Bengals team ambassador because historically, using a “prop” for a celebration has been a very, very expensive thing for players to do.

Given the league itself was the target of the celebration, Chad’s going to want to have his checkbook out and ready.
