Former Cincinnati Bengals wideout Chad Johnson was one of the most entertaining modern players of his time.
The man sometimes known as “OchoCinco” was brilliant with his touchdown celebrations and wasn’t a stranger to eating fines from the league in the name of fun.
And it turns out he’s got some extras he never got to do.
Johnson went on “NFL on ESPN” recently and revealed that an unused celebration involved the Staples “easy button” from back in the day:
“We were playing the Kansas City Chiefs in Kansas City and I’m not sure if people watching at home … remember the Easy Button from the Staples commercial, and when you press it, it said, ‘That was easy.’ …So I put one under the north and south end zones. And I was hoping to score that game and pull the Easy Button out and run to Carson and have him hit that button…”
Current Chiefs wideout Mecole Hardman Jr. decided to ask his quarterback if they could do it next season:
@PatrickMahomes what you think 🤔 https://t.co/gGl1fLw7Fx

And not to worry — Chad gave his blessing and said he’d cover any fines the NFL dished out:
Just do it and I’ll pay the fine https://t.co/68yEQc52E6

Maybe Hardman and Patrick Mahomes will save that touchdown idea for Week 17 when they play the Bengals in Cincinnati.
