The new No. 85 has the attention of the old No. 85 for the Cincinnati Bengals.
Chad Johnson says Tee Higgins, Cincinnati’s second-round pick this year, is already better than he was as a rookie.
Johnson took to social media and offered up the following when asked about Higgins: “He’s better than i was as a rookie, people thought he had big shoes to fill wearing the 85, at this point his feet are bigger than mine”
Higgins has indeed caught on quick, working his way into the rotation alongside A.J. Green and Tyler Boyd, shoving aside the likes of John Ross. Due to his strong connection with Joe Burrow, he’s sitting on 33 catches for 488 yards and three scores while primed for a big second half of the season.
It’s no secret Chad likes Higgins, of course. The man formerly known as OchoCinco was mad the Clemson product fell out of the first round and quickly gave Higgins his blessing to wear his No. 85 with the Bengals.
