Former NFL wide receiver Chad Johnson is banking on a huge season from Tennessee Titans wide receiver, A.J. Brown.
Johnson took to Twitter to share some praise for Brown, and made a bold prediction that the Ole Miss product will total 1,500 yards in 2020.
“A.J. Brown….. that’s the tweet for today because he’s a [expletive] animal…” Johnson tweeted (warning: NSFW). “1500 yard 2020 season & I’m taking that to Caesar’s Palace”
Brown shined for the Titans in his rookie season, as he totaled 1,051 yards and eight touchdowns (and one rushing) on just 52 catches, finishing second in the NFL in yards per catch.
From Week 7 on, which is when Ryan Tannehill took over under center, Brown graded out as the No. 3 receiver in the league, per Pro Football Focus, behind only Julio Jones and Michael Thomas.
And that’s just some of what the talented wideout was able to accomplish in 2019.
With a full season of Tannehill as the starter, Brown not only stands a chance to match what he did in his rookie campaign, but he could very well surpass it en route to avoiding a sophomore slump.
Will he finish with the amount of yards that the man known as “Ochocinco” thinks he will? We certainly hope so, but even a little less than that would be more than acceptable.
