Center Ethan Pocic staying in Seattle on 1-year deal worth $3M

Seattle Seahawks starting center Ethan Pocic will be staying in the Emerald City on a one-year deal worth $3 million.

The Seattle Seahawks will have their starting center back for the 2021 season. Seattle is re-signing Ethan Pocic to a one-year deal worth $3 million, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.

Pocic, originally a guard, stepped in as Seattle’s starter at center replacing Justin Britt last season. He played in 14 regular-season games, missing two due to a concussion.

The Seahawks also tendered backup Kyle Fuller, who could compete for the position.

Seattle is under pressure to appease quarterback Russell Wilson, who has been outspoken with regards to his concerns over the Seahawks’ offensive line play.

The team did trade with the Raiders for guard Gabe Jackson, who should add some oomph to the line this season.
