On Friday, Chris Cenac Jr updated his new list (via On3’s Joe Tipton), which includes Kentucky, Baylor, Houston, Texas, UConn, Tennessee, Alabama, LSU, Michigan State, Louisville and Arkansas. He plans to make a commitment by January or February.
According to 247sports updated rankings Cenac Jr is the16th-ranked overall prospect and No.1 overall center in the 2025 class.
Cenac, who announced last month he was transferring from Newman HS (LA) to Link Academy in Missouri, played for the USA Basketball Men’s U17 national team averaging 8.9 points, 5.4 rebounds, 1.0 steals, and 0.6 blocks in less than 12 minutes a contest. He compiled shooting splits of .538/.250/64.3%.

In 2023 in Louisiana he averaged 13.9 points, 10.2 rebounds, 1.7 assist, 1.3 blocks and 1.9 steals per game.
He was named the MVP of the NBPA Top 100 Camp, helped the USA Basketball Men’s U17 National Team win the gold medal at the FIBA U17 World Cup, and was named the MVP of Puma’s PRO16 League.
Cenac earned a scholarship offer from Mark Pope during the NBPA Top 100 Camp this summer. The New Orleans native does not currently have any official visits scheduled, but he has unofficially visited home-state LSU, as well as Houston.
