The Boston Celtics host the short-handed Memphis Grizzlies on Wednesday night, and if you’re looking to do some last-minute betting research, you’re in luck! We’ll give you the latest point spread, moneyline odds and over-under number, as well as the information you’ll need to make the smartest bet on BetMGM.
The game tips off at 7:30 p.m. ET (here’s how to watch).
The Celtics (2-2) are on the second night of a back-to-back after beating the Pacers on Tuesday night. The big storyline here is the Grizzlies’ colossal injury report. Memphis star Ja Morant suffered a serious ankle sprain earlier this week and will be out for 3-to-5 weeks, but he’s just one of seven players out for the Grizzlies on Wednesday.

Advice and prediction
Yes, the Grizzlies did manage to eke out a win over the Nets even after Ja Morant left the game – but that was a Nets team without Kyrie Irving or Kevin Durant. The Grizzlies’ roster has been ravaged by injuries, and I don’t see how they can match up to the Celtics, even if Boston won’t be quite as fresh. Take Celtics -6.5 (+100) while you can for an even payout.
I’d lean toward the under on the total, but it’s too difficult to predict the Grizzlies’ scoring output to recommend a bet. The Celtics have had some defensive issues early in the season, so they could cruse and allow the Grizzlies’ backups to cross the 100-point mark, but this could just as easily be a game where the short-handed Grizzlies struggle to score 90.
Prediction: Celtics 117, Grizzlies 91
