It’s pretty safe to say the NBA and their broadcasting partners view the Boston Celtics as one of the premier attractions in the league’s 22-team restart to be held at Disney’s Lake Buena Vista, Florida sports complex.
Only the Los Angeles Clippers and Los Angeles Lakers have been granted more national television games than the Celtics.
There will be seven games in total reserved for the two southern Californian teams in the league’s eight-game reboot of the 2019-20 NBA season slated for late July.
Boston is planned to have six such games, in a four-way tie with the Houston Rockets, Milwaukee Bucks and New Orleans Pelicans.

The attraction of both L.A. teams as dual title favorites makes sense, as does getting more Zion Williamson games on national TV. So does a closer look at the ultra-small “Pocket” Rockets and Giannis Antetokounmpo-led Bucks.
Seeing whether the transcendent play of Jayson Tatum continues after the hiatus is likely the main draw for the Celtics.
