Tacko Time finally arrived at the Wide World of Sports Complex.
With the third seed in the Eastern Conference locked up, the Boston Celtics elected to sit six players in total on Thursday during the regular-season finale against the Washington Wizards.
The decision to sit the likes of Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown and others cleared the way for several of the younger guys on the roster to see extended minutes, including Tacko Fall, among others.
The 7-foot-5 center saw his first action with the Celtics during the season restart, which was his first appearance with the team since Feb. 5 against the Orlando Magic. Fall recorded four points, four rebounds, two blocks, one assist and one steal in eight minutes of work.
He checked in with just over three minutes left in the third quarter and played until about the halfway point of the fourth period. Upon checking in, Fall immediately recorded a rebound and a blocked shot on the next defensive possession.

Prior to the game, Celtics head coach Brad Stevens jokingly asked if the arena can play the infamous “We Want Tacko!” chant that can often be heard by fans at TD Garden in Boston during lopsided victories. Though the game was close, Stevens subbed in the big man with the game holding little meaning in the standings.
Fall likely won’t see much playing time, if any, when the Celtics begin the playoffs next week against the Philadelphia 76ers, though it was still likely exciting for fans to see one last Tacko Time of the season.
Fall will finish his rookie season averaging 3.4 points and 2.1 rebounds in seven games.
