Celtics remain atop Bleacher Report’s power rankings

“Boston continues to look like the clear favorite in the East,” writes B/R.

If the bloom has started to come off the rose that is the Boston Celtics‘ hot start to the NBA’s 2023-24 season in some corners, it certainly has not in the estimation of Bleacher Report’s Andy Bailey, who currently has the Celtics at the top of his power rankings for this week.

According to the B/R league analyst, “Boston continues to look like the clear favorite in the East” despite the fact that, to him, “there are certainly moments when it seems like the Milwaukee Bucks, Philadelphia 76ers or maybe even the Miami Heat might challenge them in a seven-game series.”

“With Jayson Tatum, Kristaps Porzingis, Derrick White, Jrue Holiday, Jaylen Brown and Al Horford, the Celtics may well have the best top six in the league,” writes Bailey.

“And if Sam Hauser (45.7% from 3 this season) and Payton Pritchard (just under 40.0% over his past 11 games) continue to shoot well off the bench, their eight-man playoff rotation may be incomparable.”
