After playing four years at UCF, Tacko Fall will return to Orlando on Friday night to play the Magic as the Boston Celtics recalled the rookie from the G League.
With center Enes Kanter sitting out due to a hip injury, and with Robert Williams out indefinitely, the Celtics find themselves rather thin at the position against the Magic.
Armed with 7-footers Nikola Vucevic and Mo Bamba, the Magic will have a significant size advantage over the injury-riddled Celtics, thus creating the need to bring the 7-foot-5 Fall up from the Maine Red Claws.
The Celtics will also be without Jayson Tatum.
We have recalled Tacko Fall from the @maineredclaws.

Fall has logged just four appearances with the Celtics after spending the majority of the season in the G League. Fall is averaging 4.3 points and 2.5 rebounds with the Celtics.
Fall averaged 10.1 points, 7.7 rebounds and 2.4 blocks in his four seasons at UCF. He was named the American Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Year in 2017 and was a member of the 2019 All-AAC Third Team.
