The Boston Celtics have been dominating Las Vegas Summer League this year, and two of their second-year players have been no small part of the reason why. This has been lost on some of the world’s keener basketball minds, with point guard Payton Pritchard and small forward Aaron Nesmith both shining in the Sin City exhibition series games they have appeared in.
So much so that The Athletic’s Sam Vecenie has included the duo in his recent article highlighting the players in Las Vegas who he believes are too good for summer league. Pritchard garners not only a starting role but the imaginary captaincy and Nesmith a supporting one of the imaginary bench of exemplary players Vecenie has put together.
“Honestly, ranking Pritchard at No. 37 on my 2020 NBA Draft Board is one of the dumber things I’ve done logically in a while,” writes the Athletic analyst.
Pritchard’s “prior engagement” was getting an absurd amount of buckets, evidently. https://t.co/1hrWgIjUR7
