With their victory over the Dallas Mavericks in Game 5 of the NBA Finals tonight, the Boston Celtics have surpassed the Los Angeles Lakers and won their record 18th NBA Championship. By far the best team in the Eastern Conference all season long, and comfortably the best team in the NBA overall, the Celtics came out on top in what was not a particularly competitive series against the Mavs.

No matter how good the present is, though, the future is always coming up soon. Even the league’s best team has to go through some offseason decisions, and while the Celtics have forestalled the majority of theirs with their substantial salary commitments last offseason, a front office’s work is never done.

Nonetheless, Boston’s summer business figures to be minimal, given their incumbent quality and the small amount they have to spend on reinforcements. With this in mind, here follows a look at the Boston Celtics’ roster and spending heading into the 2024 NBA offseason.
