Celtics injury update: Timelord downgraded to questionable vs. Brooklyn Nets with non-COVID illness

He will join two other Celtics who share that designation against Brooklyn.

The Boston Celtics appear to have a bit of a bug going around, but mercifully it is reportedly of the non-COVID variety. Starting big man Robert Williams III was added to the list of players already on the team’s questionable list for Boston’s Wednesday night home tilt against the East-leading Brooklyn Nets with a non-COVID illness.

While not a more concerning return of the knee issues that had been keeping Williams out of action last week, the spate of illness afflicting the team has become a lesser if significant concern of its own, The team had already listed veteran shooting guard Josh Richardson as questionable for the game with the same issue as well, with the Tennessee product having already missed games due to his own illness this week.

With All-Star forward Jaylen Brown also listed as questionable for the clash between the two Atlantic Division teams at TD Garden tonight, the Celtics will join the Nets as substantially dinged-up teams should the trio be unable to suit up.
