When it happened, we all feared the worst. But it seems that Jaylen Brown has dodged severe injury after going down hurt against the Atlanta Hawks on Tuesday, and will miss some time with a right ankle sprain that has the Georgia native “day-to-day” according to Boston Celtics head coach Ime Udoka.
Brown did not participate in practice on Wednesday, but speaking to the press afterward, Udoka said he had “some swelling, pain as well,” with Brown feeling more pain than he had the night before against the Hawks. “I’m not sure the severity of the grade but didn’t look like anything major,” he added.
While it is unclear how much time Brown will miss at present, we should get an update on his status soon.
Jaylen Brown is likely day-to-day moving forward per Udoka, but 'it doesn't look like anything major' that would have him out for weeks.

Much more importantly, Brown will be on the court again this season despite what looked like it could have been a much more serious injury.
