The fans of the entire NBA — never mind fans of the Boston Celtics — have been patiently waiting for the Celtics to take on the Milwaukee Bucks after both teams executed blockbuster trades over the summer in their respective hunts for another title.
But news broke on the day of the matchup that a bit of the bloom might be off that contest with word from Boston that star Celtics forward Jayson Tatum is listed as questionable for the game with a non-COVID illness. Tatum, who has been playing like one of the top five stars in the league of late, would be a big hit for Boston’s odds to win the tilt if he sits. But there is a chance that whatever is ailing the St. Louis native is minor enough that he can play through the fatigue and discomfort such bugs typically create.
Keep an eye out closer to the game’s 7:30 p.m. ET tipoff, when Tatum’s status for the game will likely be decided.
