Previewing Celtics upcoming series against Miami

ORLANDO — The Boston Celtics, by virtue of knocking off the defending NBA champion Toronto Raptors, will make a trip to the Eastern Conference Finals.

Boston eliminated the Raptors in seven games.

That journey will begin Tuesday night when the Celtics, the No. 3 seed in the East, will tangle with the the fifth-seeded Miami Heat.

Celtics’ rookie Grant Williams starred at the University of Tennessee.

He was a fist-round draft pick by Boston after leaving UT as the two-time Southeastern Conference Player of the Year following his junior season with the Volunteers.

Williams has played sparingly and contributed modestly for the Celtics during their postseason run.

The Heat, meanwhile, upset the Milwaukee Bucks, the top seed in the conference.

The Heat eliminated the Bucks 4-1 after upsetting the fourth-seeded Indiana Pacers and costing coach Nate McMillan his job after recently receiving a contract extension.

Tip-off for Tuesday night’s game is slated for 6:30 p.m. in the Central Florida bubble.
