The Boston Celtics have a day off of practice Saturday, and several players took advantage of the scheduled free time to avail themselves of a few of the many recreational options to be found at Disney’s NBA campus at the ESPN Wide World of Sports complex and nearby hotels.
Veteran guard Marcus Smart and rookie big men Tacko Fall and Vincent Poirier all gathered to play some beach-style volleyball on a sand court in a tweet shared by the team’s Twitter account, the trio appearing to have a blast despite the uneven numbers.
In another tweet, the balance can be seen to restored with teammate Enes Kanter joining the group in a video of the foursome spiking serves at each other with reckless abandon.

At the same time, Smart was evidently keeping busy, as the Texan defensive specialist was also seen engaging Kanter in a nearby swimming pool in a tweet posted by Boston.com.

The Celtics return to the grind on Sunday as they continue to prepare for the resumed 2019-20 NBA season — with the team’s first scrimmage game coming against the Oklahoma City Thunder this Thursday at 5 p.m. ET — after the near-four month layoff forced by COVID-19.

Not pictured above is All-Star swingman Jayson Tatum, but based off of recent admissions (and incriminating social media posts), we can guess he was probably working on his stroke.
This might be the last day off for the team for some time, with the rapidly-approaching restart less than two weeks away — hopefully a little rest and relaxation is just what the team needs to put in their best work tomorrow.
