Celtics champ Ray Allen talks about getting the COVID-19 vaccine in recent IG post

The UConn product came out as for the jab in a recent Instagram video.

Former Boston Celtics champion shooting guard Ray Allen added his voice to the growing number of previously hesitant or skeptical people choosing to get one of several available COVID-19 vaccines, posting a video to his Instagram to talk about his own personal journey toward deciding to get the jab.

As cases around the U.S. and world due to the highly contagious delta variant’s spread, Allen took to the ‘gram to break down how he feels about the vaccine, and his thought process leading up to getting it in the post. He also shared some important information regarding what the vaccine can and cannot do for those who get it.

“98% of new COVID cases have been people that have not been vaccinated,” began the one-time UConn standout.
