Santana Moss is one of the greatest players in the history of the Washington Football Team. What’s unfortunate for Moss is he played on some really bad teams during his time in Washington which ran from 2005-2014.
Moss, a first-round pick of the New York Jets in 2001, was traded to Washington in 2005 for disgruntled wide receiver Laveranues Coles, which still ranks as one of the greatest trades in franchise history.
Moss would go on to play 10 seasons in Washington, going through multiple coaching changes, and departed the WFT ranked No. 3 all-time in receptions and No. 4 in receiving yards in the franchise’s history. Moss was a part of three playoff teams during his 10 seasons in D.C.
Imagine if Moss had consistent quarterback play throughout his career?
Of course, Moss will best be remembered for the two fourth-quarter touchdowns in a 2005 game that stunned Dallas on Monday Night Football. After that game, he was a made man in the eyes of Washington fans.
On Tuesday, Moss celebrated his 42nd birthday.
So, we leave you with some of the top moments of Moss’s outstanding career in Washington.
