Celebrate Spencer Dinwiddie’s birthday with his 2019-20 highlights

Spencer Dinwiddie is now 27 years old and the NBA has found a way to celebrate his birthday. Here’s how Brooklyn Nets fans can, too.

Monday is a day of celebration for one player Brooklyn Nets fans hold near and dear. It’s Spencer Dinwiddie’s birthday.

Now 27 years old, the point guard has experienced a lot since April 6, 2019. He and his 2018-19 Nets teammates made it to the 2019 NBA Playoffs. Then, Dinwiddie saw a lot of those teammates head elsewhere as Kyrie Irving, Kevin Durant and several others came to Brooklyn.

Dinwiddie was also busy off the court, as he had to communicate with the NBA a significant amount in order to get his new business started. And as the 2019-20 season took shape, Dinwiddie became the Nets’ leader on the floor as Irving joined Durant on the sideline due to injury.

It’s been quite that ride for Dinwiddie — and that’s without even mentioning all the plays he made this season, like his game-winner against the Pacers:

There’s also this crazy layup Dinwiddie finished in his first game wearing his new number, 26.

And Dinwiddie knows how to get teammates involved as well as anyone:

Among the surprising play Nets point guard made this season was the time he put Philadelphia 76ers forward Tobias Harris on a poster:

Last but not least, there’s Dinwiddie’s performance in the Nets’ last game before the league’s hiatus. Not only did the point guard put up strong numbers, Dinwiddie also hit the game-winning shot against the team he grew up following, the Los Angeles Lakers.

Fans can interact with Dinwiddie on Monday at 4 p.m. as he does a Q&A via the NBA’s Twitter account.
