The Cleveland Cavaliers have reportedly converted the two-way contract of rookie Dean Wade to a multi-year NBA deal, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.
Wade, who went undrafted out of Kansas State, signed a two-way contract with the Cavaliers just prior to Summer League last year. In five Summer League games with the Cavaliers, Wade averaged seven points, 5.6 rebounds and 3.4 assists.
Wade spent the majority of this season in the G League with the Canton Charge. He posted 14.2 points, 7.5 rebounds and 2.4 assists in 30 games played with the Charge. In addition, he logged 12 appearances with the Cavaliers this season, averaging 1.7 points and 1.6 rebounds.

Wade emerged as a strong defensive rebounder and 3-point shooter this season, converting 39.9% of his 4.6 attempts per game with the Charge. By converting his contract, the Cavaliers certainly believe Wade is worth developing and is someone that can possibly turn into a consistent role player in the future.
