Cavaliers’ Evan Mobley bought older brother Isaiah a brand new car

Cleveland Cavaliers rookie Evan Mobley this week surprised his older brother, Isaiah, with a brand new car, and the gesture provided for one awesome reaction.

Of course, the two brothers each played last season at the University of Southern California and both initially entered the NBA draft. Isaiah eventually withdrew to return to school for his junior season while Evan went on to become the third overall pick.

With Evan set to join the Cavaliers, the 7-footer bought Isaiah a new car one month before his 22nd birthday. Fortunately, Evan caught Isaiah’s reaction on video and it was well worth the watch.

Evan was named the Pac-12 Player of the Year after averaging 16.4 points, 8.7 rebounds, 2.9 blocks and 2.4 assists in 33 games. He also won Freshman of the Year and Defensive Player of the Year, becoming the first player ever to win all three awards.

Isaiah averaged 9.9 points, 7.3 rebounds and 1.6 assists in 32 games last season with the Trojans. He turned in a remarkable run in the NCAA Tournament, averaging 16 points and 6.5 rebounds in four games, as USC lost in the Elite Eight.

The two may no longer be teammates but it is clear that they will remain in close contact next season. We also may even get an appearance by Evan at a future Trojans game next season if the Cavaliers are in town…
