We found out early Wednesday morning that Notre Dame was suspending football practice for the day in the wake of the recent COVID-19 outbreak on campus. Now we have a rough idea when we can expect to see the football team return to the practice field.

Two things are worth mentioning here:
- Maybe the team returns to the practice field on Thursday, maybe they don’t. If this spread continues around campus though, do we really think it’s a guarantee they’re back on the field Friday?
- We are still without word on the COVID-19 test results from Monday’s latest round for the football team. Is that because it’s significantly better than the test results of the student body? Or perhaps because it’s just as bad? Or is it as simple as the results not being available yet?
Whatever the case it was already going to be a big week of test results for the football team as last week saw them match their total positive tests for the entire previous tests this summer.
