Catholics vs. COVID: Notre Dame COVID-19 update

The University of Notre Dame saw a record number of COVID-19 tests administered Monday but fortunately not a record number of positive tests

The latest numbers are out for the University of Notre Dame as they continue to try to flatten the curve of positive COVID-19 cases on campus.

The latest update from the University is out and has the following statistics after Monday’s results have been released.

Monday, August 24 saw 683 tests administered, a new record high for a single day, 30 of which came back positive for the second day in a row.

The 30 positive tests are down significantly from the 83 positive tests that were reported on August 19 but up from the 22nd when just 19 positive tests were reported.

Of the 3904 tests given since August 3, 471 have come back to be positive.  Those positive tests have been from 449 undergrad students, 19 graduate students and three University employees.
