Notre Dame’s COVID-19 outbreak that caused the football team to have to postpone their game at Wake Forest last weekend hasn’t been completely taken care of as not everyone has returned to practice quite yet but the Fighting Irish did get good news in regards to further testing.
Notre Dame’s head trainer Rob Hunt met the media via a Zoom call on Thursday and updated the masses with the latest stats in regards to testing:
According to Notre Dame head trainer Rob Hunt, the football program had zero new positive tests on Monday and zero new positive tests on Wednesday.

That clearly doesn’t mean the spread is fully contained or that by any means it’s OK to put any sort of guard down, but it’s a positive for a team that had roughly one-third of it’s roster impacted by the virus last week.
Notre Dame is scheduled to return to action for the first time since September 19 when they welcome Florida State to Notre Dame Stadium on October 10.
