The passing game has been on fire since the coaching change.

Deshaun Watson, Will Fuller and company have gone off, with the air show cranking out 267 yards or more in each of the last six games. Now it gets to go against a good Cleveland pass defense that got lit up by Joe Burrow two weeks ago and had problems against everyone but Las Vegas, who spent most of its time running last week.

Cleveland is about to run as much as it wants to.

The Houston defensive front has been gouged all year – it’s the worst run D in the NFL – and now Nick Chubb is back in the mix for the Brown attack. Own the ground, control the clock a bit, and hope for the pass rush to get to Watson enough to force a slew of quick throws and third down chances.

Get that running game going and give Baker Mayfield a whole lot of easy throws – Houston doesn’t do anything to take the ball away or pick off any passes.

Fantasy Football Player To Watch

RB Nick Chubb, Cleveland
Chubb returns after missing six weeks with a sprained MCL. He gets a smash match-up against an awful Houston D that gives up big yards in chunks to anyone who can run regularly. Chubb reportedly looked good in practice, but he’ll likely be on a bit of a pitch count. He’ll get his chances around the goal line, though.

What’s Going To Happen

Houston will continue with its fireworks, but it’ll give up a whole lot of yards and points just as quickly. The grinding of the Browns running game will be the steady production to score throughout, and the D will hold serve late.

Why Washington Football Team Will Win

The passing game hasn’t been that bad.

It’s coming off a season-high 365 yards in the loss to the Giants, it came up with 251 against the Giants a few weeks before that, and now it gets to go against a soft Lion secondary that has yet to allow fewer than 200 yards through the air.

This might not be a high-powered Washington attack, but the Lions don’t force takeaways and if there was ever a game to get the ground game going, this would be it against one of the NFL’s worst run defenses.

Why Detroit Lions Will Win

Washington just doesn’t have the offensive firepower to keep up if the Lions get hot early.

There was a shockingly big running day against Dallas a few weeks ago, but overall the Football Team ground attack is non-existent – it hasn’t hit 100 yards in four of the last five games.

Detroit is 3-0 this season when allowing fewer than 110 rushing yards. Washington hasn’t only gotten to the mark twice.

Fantasy Football Player To Watch

RB Antonio Gibson, Washington
Detroit is a goldmine for allowing running back fantasy points, getting embarrassed by Dalvin Cook last week for over 200 yards and two scores. Although Gibson loses pass targets to JD McKissic, he managed a score in each of the last two weeks.

What’s Going To Happen

Detroit is a weird team in the midst of a weird season. It’s all over, though, if it can’t get past a bad Washington team that’s playing just enough defense to make this a fight. The Football Team, though, won’t run well enough to pull this off.

So what’s working turning this seven-game losing streak?

The offense has been fine. Jake Luton stepped in for Gardner Minshew and keeping things moving against Houston with the team’s best offensive day in a month.

How do you beat Green Bay? Run and run some more – it’s 0-2 when allowing more than 134 yards on the ground. Jacksonville ran for 140 against the Chargers a few weeks ago and need to keep pounding.

It’s going to take at least 30 points to keep up, and while Jacksonville hasn’t hit the mark outside of a Week 2 33-30 loss to Tennessee, this is the chance to do it.

Why Green Bay Packers Will Win

The offense is a machine right now.

The Aaron Rodgers to Davante Adams connection is otherworldly, the running game is just fine no matter who’s handling the ball, and the team is able to score in bunches. Jacksonville does have just enough pop to keep up for a bit, but not enough for a full four quarters.

Yes, the Jaguar running game has had a few nice moments, and it needs to try pounding away, but it’s last in the NFL in attempts and hasn’t hit 100 yards in five of the eight games.

Jones looked spry in his first game back from injury against San Francisco. He’s received a few extra few days of rest and now faces a Jacksonville D that ranks among the worst in the NFL against the run. Rodgers and Adams are on fire, but this is the game for Jones to start rocking again.

What’s Going To Happen

Jacksonville is plucky, but the defense keeps struggling in game after game. It’s not taking the ball away enough and the O is going to need to press. Green Bay’s D doesn’t force a whole lot of mistakes, but it’ll get a few picks here to turn this into a rout late.

Why Philadelphia Eagles Will Win

The Giants still aren’t throwing all that well. There was enough offense to get by in the win over Washington, but Daniel Jones is still too inconsistent for a passing game that only hit 200 yards once in the last four games.

Winning the turnover battle is the key. The Giants are getting better at taking the ball away, but Philadelphia has forced five takeaways in the last two games including three in the meeting a few weeks ago. When the Eagles force two or more takeaways, they’re 3-0. When they don’t they’re 0-4-1.

Why New York Giants Will Win

The Eagles’ main issue is against the more physical running teams, allowing 130 yards or more in the last four games. The Giants might not be great at pounding away, but they’ve found a bit of a groove over the last month with four straight 100-yard days including 165 against Philly.

Turnovers mean everything to them, too. They forced five in the win over Washington and 12 over the last six games. The Eagles can’t stop giving the ball away – they can’t get away with the four turnovers they gave to Dallas two weeks ago.

Fantasy Football Player To Watch

TE Dallas Goedert, Philadelphia
Goedert opened the first two games of the season with a combined 17 targets for 12 catches, 131 yards and a TD. Zach Ertz remains out – not that he was doing anything anyway – and the Eagles remain a TE offense. Goedert has had the bye week to get back to 100% – expect him to be targeted 7+ times.

What’s Going To Happen

Getting the week off will help an Eagle team that’s a win away from taking almost full control of the miserable NFC East. The Giants were able to go turnover-free against Washington, but that’s not happening this week. Philly will look and play like the rested team, especially with a renewed effort agains the run.

Why Tampa Bay Buccaneers Will Win

The team can’t play any worse than it did against New Orleans. It started up front – the line couldn’t keep Tom Brady from getting bashed and beaten. Expect more quick passes, more of a running game after a historically bad day on the ground with just eight yards, and a lot more production from the receivers.

There are too many weapons and too many good parts – including a defense that picked a bad time to come up with a dud – to struggle so much. In the first meeting, Brady was good, the running game was better, and the four takeaways were massive in the 31-17 win.

Why Carolina Panthers Will Win

Carolina has hit a wall overall, but the defense was great against the Kansas City running game last weeks and the offense started to function better with Christian McCaffrey back and working.

The D doesn’t have the pass rush the Saints do, but they need to at least bother Brady. Teddy Bridgewater bombed away in the first meeting, the secondary has been great at keeping the big plays to a minimum, and this week there’s going to be an equally matched sense of desperation coming off a four-game losing streak. Tampa Bay won’t be the only focused team.

Fantasy Football Player To Watch

One carry, no yards. That’s what he did for a Tampa Bay offense that bailed on the run early last week. However, Fournette had his best game of the season against Carolina with 103 yards and two scores, and against the Saints he was a key part to the passing game.

What’s Going To Happen

Tampa Bay is about to fix the glitch in a hurry. The offense has sputtered a bit over the last few weeks, but with no Carolina pass rush to worry about, Brady will be on again, Antonio Brown will have a decent game, and the Bucs will start to look the part.

The Raider passing game has been good, but the team is dominant when it’s running well.

It’s not consistent, but the ground game had its two best games of the season with a 209-yard day against Cleveland and followed it up with 160 yard against the Chargers.

Denver has a good pass rush, but it was hammered way too hard by the LA Chargers a few weeks ago, and it’s about to get tested. Vegas has found something, and it’s going to stick with it.

Fantasy Football Player To Watch

WR Jerry Jeudy, Denver 
It’s a battle of the two former Alabama receiver stars. Henry Ruggs of the Raiders is still looking to break out, while Jeudy – if he’s healthy after getting banged with a shoulder injury against Atlanta – is starting to explode. He’s been targeted 24 times over the last two games, and he’s made things happen with 11 catches for 198 yards and a score in those two.

What’s Going To Happen

The Vegas offense will keep the same formula going until someone stops it. Get the tough running game going, get an efficient passing day, don’t get hit with a ton of turnovers, and keep converting on third downs. The Denver receiving corps is just banged up enough to be a problem.

Justin Herbert keeps getting better and better.

The Charger offense has a solid running game, it’s moving the ball with a good pace, and Herbert is bombing away as he keeps showing tremendous command of the attack.

Miami’s defense has been good, and it’s brilliant at taking the ball away, but it’s getting run over. One of the NFL’s worst run defense got ground on for 178 yards in the win over Arizona, all while the O hasn’t passed 312 yards in any of the last three games.

Why Miami Dolphins Will Win

Takeaways, takeaways, takeaways.

The Dolphins might not be doing much offensively, but they’ve been able to hang around games with a bend-but-don’t-often break defense and at least one takeaway in every game.

The four takeaways saved the game against the Los Angeles Rams a few weeks ago, it was able to come up with key stops in the stunning win over Arizona, and Tua Tagovailoa is starting to come along. He’s not bombing away like Herbert is, but he started opening it up last week.

Fantasy Football Player To Watch

WR Devante Parker, Miami
Last year, Parker’s production took-off into the stratosphere immediately after Preston Williams was lost for the season. It’s de ja vu all over again as Williams is once again likely done for the season. Parker is the clear, undisputed No. 1 target, and Tagovailoa will likely to lock-in on his main read.

What’s Going To Happen

It might seem all mystical, but Miami is finding ways to win, and the Chargers are all but inventing ways not to win.

LA had the Raiders beaten, but it had its heart broken on a late play in the end zone with the ball just barely coming out. Meanwhile, the Dolphins were totally outplayed by Arizona, and they still won.

At home, Miami will keep the energy going, will get outgained by about 100 yards, and will pull off a fifth straight win.

Why Buffalo Bills Will Win

The Bills have to get Josh Allen hot early again.

They didn’t forget about the running game in the dominant win over Seattle, but Allen was too good. The team’s energy was there from the start, the defense forced four takeaways, and it was the type of win that proved it could play any style.

Arizona doesn’t mess around. It’s going to be versatile, balanced, and it’ll put up 400 yards without breathing hard. The team lives off of moving the chains and coming up with a whole lot of easy first downs thanks to Kyler Murray’s all-around game, but it’s not a great third down attack.

Why Arizona Cardinals Will Win

The O has hit its stride at just the right time.

It was great to start the season, had a few dud games, and it’s been all but unstoppable over the last month thanks to a killer running game that’s second in the NFL.

Buffalo can be run on, allowing 100 yards or more in four straight games before dealing with the Seattle attack that had to throw and throw some more.  The home loss to Miami last week was strange – the team played well, but couldn’t get control of the game. The Cardinal running game will take over this week.

Fantasy Football Player To Watch

RB Chase Edmonds, Arizona
It’s still Kyler Murray’s offense and ground game, but other parts will get more work. Edmonds disappointed last week in his first featured role of the season against a solid Dolphins D. With Kenyon Drake likely out another week, Edmonds will like receive 20 carries and 5+ targets against the normally porous Bill run D.

What’s Going To Happen

Arizona will shake off the dud loss to Miami by getting the offense cranked up early in a wild and fun shootout. The Bills found another gear after a few shaky wins, but three turnovers and the inability to stop Murray in the open field will be too much to overcome.

Starting a WR against Seattle’s NFL-worst pass D is a must. So the question is, which Ram receiver do you go for? Considering that Cooper Kupp is nursing an oblique injury, the targets should flow to Woods.

Woods is hot, coming off a monster 85-yard, 2 TD performance before the bye against Miami, and his end-around runs have been automatic producers.

What’s Going To Happen

Seattle has hit a bit of a wall. It’s on its third road game in four weeks, and it lost the previous two aways games. LA might have been inconsistent before getting the week off, but look for an energized team that gets a massive day out of Goff, and an even better one from the Ram defensive front that doesn’t allow a thing against the run.
